"The Penny Project" penny charms were born from my relationship with my father, his passing, my own struggle with anxiety and depression and the idea that something considered "worthless" could be turned into something beautiful. Each charm starts as a penny and is then flattened, sanded drilled and stamped to create a unique and meaningful piece.

The charms for this necklace are pure copper, from pre-1982 pennies. They have a heart stamped on the front and the message of your choice on the back (see last picture for examples).
