"Courage, dear heart" is a line from one of my very favorite books and is one of my very favorite sayings of comfort when times are tough. "Be brave" sometimes seems too forceful, especially when you're feeling less than brave. "Courage, dear heart" is a soft and supporting voice, pushing you ever so gently forward and is a phrase that always rolls around in my head when I just want to run and hide from the world.

The words "courage, dear heart" are stamped on the inside of this bracelet, with a simple heart on the outside. 

 The aluminum is cut and tumbled locally and I stamp and draw over the lettering with hints of color, and form them into shape. The aluminum is treated to give it a brushed effect.
