I think of this quote when I think of volunteer work that I do and work that a lot of friends and family do. I watch my friends who are addiction counselors and social workers and animal welfare workers get just...exhausted. And disheartened, sometimes. But they persevere. Even on the days when it doesn't seem worth it. I think how very lucky we are to have people in the world who just don't give up, even in the face of these incredible obstacles. They just keep going out in the world and they keep doing these amazing things. My hope is that the burden never becomes too heavy for them, or if it does, we can somehow help them carry it. That we can help them rest, so that they can keep going and keep doing good.

May we help ease the burdens of others and let us never grow weary of doing good.

 The aluminum is cut and tumbled locally and I stamp and draw over the lettering with hints of color, and form them into shape.
